A Level History Trip

A Level History students at HCC had the privilege of working with some of the team at The Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) last week in their ongoing conservation of the Seaton Down Hoard Project.

Students were able to experience first hand the sorts of work conservators do, and explore the processes of conservation and the tools used. They had a chance to handle the objects, see how archaeological finds are documented, and appreciate how metal artefacts deteriorate over time.  Much fun was had by all, and we wish the RAMM continued success in their conservation work with this Project.
